About

Built by the person you'll be talking to.

JEG Strategic Partners is an automation, process improvement, and AI consultancy based in Los Angeles, CA.

Most businesses that call us already know they could be running better. The same number typed into three systems, the follow-up that depends on someone remembering, the report assembled by hand every Monday: none of it is a secret. It gets filed under the cost of growing, and everyone gets on with the day.

They usually know automation exists, too, and that systems can be made to talk to each other. What they do not know is where to start, or which part of it is worth doing first.

That part is our job, and the only thing we need from you is your workflow. You walk us through how the work actually gets done, step by step, from the point of view of the person doing it. From there we map it, improve the process, and automate what should be automated.

How we work

You deal directly with the person doing the work. There is no account manager relaying your problem to someone you never meet, and nothing gets handed to a junior once the contract is signed. That is the main practical difference between this and an agency, and it is why the diagnosis tends to be sharper, because the person hearing how your business runs is the person building for it.

Every engagement starts with understanding the work before proposing anything. Not a discovery phase you pay for; a conversation. If the answer turns out to be a setting in a tool you already own, that is what we will tell you.

Process first, tools second

The order matters more than any individual tool. Map how the work actually happens, cut the steps that stopped earning their place, and only then decide what to automate. Automating a process you have not questioned makes the wrong version of it permanent, and faster.

Business process redesign is unglamorous and it is where most of the value is. Plenty of what gets asked for as an AI project turns out to be a handful of integrations and one step that should have been deleted two years ago.

What we'll talk you out of

  • Automating something that should be deleted. A good share of the work we are asked to automate should be removed or folded into a neighbouring step instead.
  • Custom software you don't need. If a product covers most of it and the gap is preference rather than economics, buy the product.
  • AI for its own sake. Anything needing an exactly correct answer every time belongs in ordinary deterministic software.
  • Rebuilding everything at once. The narrow fix that works beats the platform that gets abandoned at sixty percent.

None of this is modesty. Projects that should not have happened are how consultants get a bad name, and referrals are how a business like this actually grows.

Who this suits

Growing businesses, from a handful of people to a few hundred, at the point where more customers create more coordination work rather than more capacity. Earlier than that, the manual version is genuinely fine. Much later, there is usually an internal team already building this.

The work changes shape with size. Smaller companies tend to need one bottleneck removed and the result to be obvious within weeks. Mid-sized ones usually have the opposite problem: several systems that each work, a process spanning all of them, and nobody who owns the whole path end to end.

We work across industries: e-commerce and fulfilment, finance, distribution, professional services. The specifics differ; the shape of the problem rarely does.

What you own

The code, the data, and the accounts are yours, built on ordinary widely-used technology that any competent developer can pick up, including one who is not us. You should be able to leave.

Start with a conversation

A free 30-minute call, spent almost entirely on questions. You walk us through how the work gets done and we dig into how it really runs: who touches each step, where it waits, what the exceptions are, and which parts hold together only because someone remembers.

We are not diagnosing it live. The point of the call is to understand the work accurately and name where it is getting stuck. What to change about it, what that is worth, and how to implement it takes research, and comes back afterwards as its own piece of work.
